Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer
It was quite a long time ago when we sent you last newsletter. This time wasn't spent in vain. We have collected all your input on our Forensic IM Extractor and released brand new product called Forensic IM Analyzer. Forensic IM Analyzer is successor for the Extractor one and will be our flagship forensic product for next several years.
Unlike simple Forensic IM Extractor wizard interface, new product has modern user interface, which allows you to review extracted messages one by one, search messages in history and work with multiple histories at a time (the feature very much requested by our forensic customers).
Several new internet messengers are supported. Long-awaited Skype support, which many of you requested, is now
added. We have also supported ICQ 6, MySpace IM, QIP, SIM and AIM (search only). To remind, we already had support for ICQ 97a to ICQ 5, MSN/LiveMessenger, Yahoo! Messenger, &RQ and Miranda.
Powerful search facilities are introduced. You can use simple search by a word given. Advanced search is also available: search by a file with words, when you specify a text file with words of interest and obtain all matches where any of words given are found. This is very handy for forensic investigation as well as for parental control. Advanced users will benefit from search using regular expressions which is indispensable when searching sentences with fuzzy structure.
Search results can be extracted to text, HTML and XML likewise the whole profile history. You asked us to made HTML reports independent and we have done that (all graphics are put into the same folder where the history is extracted to). Thus you can burn CD with extracted histories and view it on a computer without product installed.
One more much requested feature is search for history profiles. Profiles are stored at various places and it is very bothering for investigator to manually look through all such places. Forensic IM Analyzer is able to search for messenger profiles on local computer, on removable devices, CD/DVD drives and network drives. The ability to search on network drives was also much requested by those of you who work with
mapped Encase drives. We hope this will ease your hard work.
Belkasoft Skype Analyzer
Many of our customers asked about Skype support. Though this support is added to
the new Forensic product, not all of customers really need support for multiple messengers, they just need Skype. That's why we have made one more product which is very similar to Forensic one but works with Skype
only. Naturally, it is cheaper than Forensic version.
The product now works with chats only but in nearest future will also show calls and voice message history. We also going to support older Skype message history format.
Status of products
Both releases have now 'public beta release' status. This means that they are available to purchase however may contain some bugs and do not contain documentation. Why 'beta'? This is because many of our existent customers were eagerly waiting for requested features and asked us to release as soon as possible. We did our best to answer such requests in a timely fashion. The final release with all bugfixes and documentation is scheduled for June 2008. Customers purchased beta version will be able to upgrade to release
for free.

Licensing rules
Personal license can be used by a person purchased the licence only.
If a person has both office and home computer it is allowed to use product
on both (2 workstations at a time maximum). In other cases additional
license is required.
Corporate license applies to a single workstation no matter how much
specialists work on it. You should purchase a license per every
workstation you would like to install software to.
