Please find some important details about the Belkasoft CTF competition below.
- You can download the CTF image (7 GB) using one of these links:
We recommend downloading the image in advance — please do it now if you haven’t done so yet.
- The competition starts on March 16th, 2021 at 1 PM CET. The password for the CTF image will be revealed on this Information page at 12:45 CET, and challenges will open at 1 PM. Don’t miss it.
- You will have 24 hours to solve 11 challenges covering this image, ranging in difficulty from ‘Baby’ to Hard. The game finishes March 17th, 2021 at 1 PM CET.
- Dynamic scoring will be used: the more participants solve a challenge, the cheaper it will be for everyone who solved it. The winner is the one who scored more points than others did. If two competitors have the same amount of points, the one who reached that amount earlier, wins.
- There will be two separate winners, for students and for non-students.
Awards for both nominations: the winner gets a nice set of Belkasoft merchandise, first 3 places get winner certificates, and everyone else gets a certificate of participation.

The plot
You were contacted by a company preparing their new product launch: an AI-based recommendation system that respects target privacy. Just before the date, the source code and technical documents ended up in their competitor's hands. The company suspects a recently hired developer and obtained a copy of his corporate laptop HDD. You are going to analyze the image and support the suspicion with evidence extracted from the laptop...
